Content Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Overview

GILDA is a social network and content sharing platform that enables Creators to share and monetise their own original content, and enables Fans to subscribe to and view that content. This Content Policy applies to all content uploaded, shared, or distributed on the Platform — including photos, videos, live streams, private messages, profile information, and captions.

GILDA believes in Creator freedom and expression. Our role is to provide a safe, legal, and fair platform — not to dictate the nature of what Creators share with their consenting adult audience. At the same time, all content must comply with:

  • These Content Policy rules
  • Our Terms of Service
  • The laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, including the Cybercrimes Act 2015, the Electronic and Postal Communications Act (Cap. 306), and TCRA content regulations
  • International child protection standards

Creators are solely responsible for the content they upload. By uploading content, a Creator accepts full legal and moral responsibility for ensuring it complies with this policy and applicable law.

2. Permitted Content

GILDA supports a wide range of original Creator content. The following are examples of content that is permitted on the Platform:

2.1 General Content

  • Lifestyle, fitness, fashion, and beauty content
  • Personal photography, art, and creative expression
  • Educational and informational content
  • Music, dance, and performance
  • Cooking, travel, and entertainment vlogs
  • Behind-the-scenes and personal diary content
  • Spoken word, podcasts, and audio content

2.2 Subscription / Premium Content

Creators may offer exclusive content behind a paid subscription tier (Premium or VIP). This allows Creators to share content with paying Fans that they do not wish to make publicly available. Premium content must still comply with all rules in this policy.

2.3 Live Streaming

Creators may live stream on GILDA, subject to the same content standards that apply to uploaded content. Creators are responsible for what appears in their live streams in real time.

3. Prohibited Content

Zero-Tolerance Violations

The following content results in an immediate permanent account ban, deletion of all content, and mandatory reporting to Tanzanian law enforcement. There are no warnings or appeals.

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any depiction — image, video, animation, or otherwise — of sexual activity involving anyone under 18 years of age. This is a criminal offence under Section 23 of the Cybercrimes Act 2015 and carries severe penalties under Tanzanian law. We report all such content to authorities.
  • Content sexualising minors: Any content that sexualises or inappropriately depicts persons who are or appear to be under 18, including content designed to evoke or simulate minors.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII): Uploading intimate images or videos of any person without their documented, explicit consent. This includes content obtained through hacking, deception, coercion, or recorded without the subject's knowledge. Offence under the Cybercrimes Act 2015.
  • Human trafficking content: Any content that advertises, recruits for, facilitates, or depicts human trafficking, forced services, or exploitation. Offence under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act 2008.

3.1 Other Prohibited Content

The following content will result in content removal and account suspension:

  • Content that harasses, threatens, or intimidates specific individuals
  • Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, tribe, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation
  • Content that glorifies, promotes, or provides instructions for violence or self-harm
  • Doxxing — publishing private personal information about others without consent
  • Misleading or deceptive content designed to defraud other users
  • Spam, including mass-identical messages or unsolicited promotional content
  • Content infringing third-party copyrights or trademarks without permission
  • Content impersonating GILDA or claiming endorsement by GILDA

4. Creator Obligations

  • Consent on file: Every identifiable person who appears in your content has given documented, written consent to appear in that content and to have it distributed on the Platform.

6. Content Moderation

GILDA employs the following moderation mechanisms:
